The Artec range of scanners offers a unique perspective in the world of point cloud capture by the fact there is no tracking system required or sticky dots to put on the object. The user just pushes the button and begins moving the scanner around the object, the scanner uses the geometry of the object for real-time surface alignment. The result is an ultra fast, highly portable scanner that can capture a human face in 10/15 seconds.
The Artec range of scanners starts at the 'S' small scanner
for
higher resolution scanning of small objects and goes up to the 'L'
scanner which can capture a human body or full car extremely quickly.
The MHT Artec is the latest edition to the range and has the added
benefit of being able to capture in full colour during scanning. The
fast data collection makes this technology perfect for medical, gaming,
heritage, and fashion industries.
The DS2 small object and
dental scanner from Solutionix is a full CNC white light scanner. The
compact system has a 360 degree rotating table and also a swivel axis
that enables the object being scanned to be positioned in any
orientation. The capture positions are pre-programmed and therefore the
user simply places the object in the scanner, presses the start button,
and then off if goes, automatically scanning the object. This unique 3D
scanning system is one of the few fully automatic scanning systems on
the market place, ideal for large batch scanning of dental impressions,
jewellery, and other small objects. The Rexcan range of white light 3D
scanners offer an affordable high precision solution in those
applications requiring larger volume capture.
